About the Project
Why Digital Storytelling Matters for VET Learners
In today's rapidly evolving digital economy, the ability to tell a compelling story through multimedia is no longer a luxury β€” it is a core professional skill. This Erasmus+ inspired project was designed specifically for vocational education and training learners who deserve the tools, confidence, and creative frameworks to thrive in the modern workplace.
Digital storytelling integrates communication, creativity, and technical competence into one powerful discipline. Learners who master these skills become more employable, more expressive, and more capable of advocating for themselves and their communities.
This project aligns directly with the European Union's strategic priorities: digital transformation, inclusion, and innovation in VET. By placing creativity at the heart of vocational learning, we are building the next generation of digitally confident citizens β€” across six culturally rich European cities.
EU Priority Alignment
Digital Transformation
Embedding 21st-century digital skills into VET curricula
Inclusion & Access
Reaching learners across diverse backgrounds and abilities
Innovation in VET
Pioneering new models of creative, project-based learning
Cultural Learning
Six Cities. Six Creative Environments. One Shared Story.
This course unfolds across six of Europe's most culturally vibrant cities, each selected for its unique creative industries, storytelling traditions, and potential to inspire learners from the moment they arrive. Cultural immersion is not a backdrop β€” it is a learning tool in itself.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
A global hub of design, film, and digital media. Learners explore Dutch visual storytelling traditions and the city's thriving creative tech scene.
MΓ’con, France
Nestled in the heart of Burgundy, MΓ’con offers a rich blend of French cultural heritage and contemporary arts, inspiring narrative and aesthetic sensibility.
Vilamoura, Portugal
Portugal's dynamic coastline and thriving digital economy make Vilamoura an inspiring setting for multimedia exploration and creative production.
Brussels, Belgium
The heart of Europe, Brussels brings together a multilingual, multicultural environment that perfectly mirrors the cross-border spirit of this project.
Copenhagen, Denmark
Renowned for Scandinavian design excellence and digital innovation, Copenhagen challenges learners to think boldly about visual communication.
Dublin, Ireland
Dublin's vibrant literary and digital heritage, combined with its youthful energy, makes it an inspiring final chapter in the learner's European creative journey.

Learners in each city engage with local culture, European creative industries, cross-border collaboration, and diverse storytelling traditions β€” building a truly international perspective on digital media.

Intellectual Property
Own Your Creativity. Protect Your Work.
One of the most empowering things we teach is this: your ideas have value. This dedicated section of the course gives learners a thorough grounding in intellectual property, creative ownership, and responsible distribution β€” essential knowledge for anyone creating and sharing work in the digital age.
πŸ”’ Intellectual Property Basics
Understand what intellectual property is and why it matters. Learners explore how copyright automatically applies to original digital stories, how to licence content responsibly using Creative Commons frameworks, and how to respect others' IP whilst asserting their own rights.
✍️ Creative Ownership
We encourage every learner to develop their own original ideas with confidence. This module covers authorship, moral rights, and the psychology of creative confidence β€” helping young creators understand that their perspective is unique and worth protecting.
πŸ“‘ Distribution Skills
Publishing content online is a skill in itself. Learners discover how to share work safely on social media and digital platforms, how to build an audience ethically, and how to maintain responsibility for their digital footprint throughout their creative careers.
Outcomes
What You'll Be Able to Do
